The roles of the emergency room are recently emphasized, because the emergency patients have increased in the number with the increases in the traffic volumes, in the population and with the mechanization of life, and are usually seriously ill, requiring a prompt and adequate treatment. Such a prompt and adequate treatment is possible when the medical and paramedical interdepartmental relationships are smooth and organic.
But in Korea, there are few studies about the emergency patients and the management of the emergency room.
